A drawing is a work of art created using a pencil, pastel, charcoal, marker, or crayon.

An artist will usually create his/her drawing first and then color it in with a different medium.  Sometimes an artist will leave their drawing uncolored.  The finished work is just the lead lines created by the artist's pencil.
