EXAMPLES OF RHYTHM, REPETITION, AND PATTERN

This work of art is a good example of REPETITION.  The artist has repeated the image of the circle
throughout the entire design.

The RHYTHM of this work of art is created by the back and forth motion of the figures' bodies.  The back and forth motion is making the viewer's eye move up and down, as well as, side to side.

The artist has created this rhythm through the repetition of lines and shapes.

The artist has used PATTERNS in this work of art to create designs and textures throughout the picture.

The patterns consist of the repetition of several different types of lines on the figure and in the background.
