The artist uses repetition of lines and shapes to create and interesting collage (objects and images pieced together to make a picture) look to the painting. 

The viewer's is forced to move around the painting due to the placement of certain objects, lines and shapes within the artwork. 

He uses flat shapes and 3-D shapes, realistic figures and abstract images (made up do not look like real life objects) within the same painting.
