EXAMPLES OF MOVEMENT

MOVEMENT
is created within this painting by the repetition of lines in the sky and water.

The viewer's eyes are forced to travel up into the painting from the shape of the man screaming at the bottom of the painting.

The bend, curved lines of his body
are the same lines found in the sky and the water.

These lines create a sense of movement like the wind is blowing.

The movement of this picture is created by the rhythm of the figures' bodies.

Their bodies have a back and forth rhythm  that forces the viewer's eyes to go left to right as it goes up the painting.
