Printmaking is the process of making art through a variety of techniques that involves taking a print of a design, texture, or image with paint or ink.

The artist then  presses the design, texture, or image onto  another material such as paper or cloth to create the image.

It is like a stamp that is carved out of rubber and stamped on an ink pad and pressed onto a piece of paper.
